Aura photoAura photography is distinct from Kirlian photography in that aura photography uses a camera, which Kirlian photography does not, and takes a picture of a person, animal, or object some small distance away while exposing the film and subject to bioelectric fields or currents. Aura photography is currently being studied extensively in the Soviet Union and used on athletes to determine peak physical/emotional conditions. However, the variables involved are enormous, and no reliable, reproducible scientific data has yet to be gathered on the reliability of aura photographs. Therefore, using them to attempt to diagnose physical ailments in the absence of or contrary to other, more proven medical procedures could be exceedingly dangerous and is not recommended. However, as irreproducible as aura photography may be the theory behind auras is sound.

The First Law of Matter and Energy states that matter and energy cannot be either created or destroyed, only transformed from one into the other and back. This means that our apparently solid bodies are always in flux between matter and energy at an atomic level, making us, as Deepak Chopra so eloquently put it in his book The Seven Laws of Spiritual Success, "collections of information and energy." Aura Report? And our energy is not bound up in the limits of our body, as can easily be seen when we warm our cold hands with a friend's who was smart enough to wear mittens. We also know that we, as living beings, possess a bioelectrical field, and that electricity is only one of the forms of energy available. Thermal energy, kinetic energy, and light are all energy forms that we can easily measure, while physicists constantly come up with more potential in the area of energy forms. Therefore, science has not successfully proven that auras do or don't exist; science has only proven that we do not yet have sensitive enough equipment to sense and measure them reliably.

The science regarding aura and Kirlian photography is still out on experimentation, even though people make unsubstantiated claims about these photographic methods on a constant basis. These controversial claims only make the hypothesis and processes less credible and less likely to be studied by serious and unbiased scientists as time goes on. If anyone believes that Kirlian photography or aura photography possesses some use or meaning for them, they should be free to take advantage of these photographic methods . Another Aura report? This will be easier if more unbiased and rigorous scientific testing can be done, which would be much easier if unsubstantiated claims about these methods were not presented as fact.

At the moment, all I can suggest, is that anyone offering Aura & Kirlian photography and claiming to be able to show you a photograph of your aura is doing it for your entertainment, especially if it at a Mind, Body, Spirit fair!

Bye the way, if you know different to our researcher, then let us know. We welcome well researched articles on advances in science that help us to have a better understanding of our place in the world.
